Friday Lecture – 6th December at the McDonald Institute

Professor Adam Hardy will talk on

 Digging up Designs: reconstructing medieval Indian temples from stones, drawings and texts

 on Friday 6 December at 5.30pm  at the McDonald Institute, Downing Street, Cambridge CB2 3ER

This lecture, which is open to all, is part of the inaugural Allchin Symposium in South Asian Archaeology.  Please note the venue.

Adam Hardy is Professor of Asian Architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture, University of Cardiff. His research is largely in the history of architecture in South Asia, particularly Indian temple architecture (Buddhist, Hindu, Jain). Drawings play an important part in his research, not only for explanation but also as a means of analysis.
